IB to ESA support Group No Medical. was created by blackpatch
Hi all I just got news this afternoon that i am to be moved from IB to ESA support group for three years before a new accessment, without a face to face interview.

I had submitted the esa50 on 2nd july 2012, after reading the excellent information on this site, in particular with reference to those with mental health difficulties. Despite the excellent info on the site I found comliling/adjusting the information and completing the form very ardous and stressful and many times just burst into tears, while completing the forms and waiting for the decision.

Today I rang the DWP(SSA) in Northern Ireland and told them I could wait no longer and would not be around much longer if I did not have a decision. I had been feeling suicidal about the whole situation. They said they would ring me back within 3 hours.

As promiced I got a call back from a girl who said she had just processed my form and that I had been migrated from IB to the support gruop group no problem, and that I would not be reassessed for three years. Horray.

I still feel quite low but am just starting to come round what with the excellent news.

I just wanted to say thank you for your excellent guides and moderators who have helped me get what I am entitled to.

That does sound like good news. Without wanting to dampen your joy, I must warn you not to get too excited until you have received the decision in writing.

After getting my good nexs (enhanced care and enhanced mobility for ongoing period) ref DLA tp PIP migration an ESA50 popped through my letter box. I had already put my self through the mill ref the PIP, so this time I requested a copy of my old ESA50 and typed correspondance. I just submitted the same stuff again with one minor alteration, re mobility. I got my decision back within 10 days of my PIP award letter arriving. I reackon they just looked at my PIP decision and straight forwardly awarded me ESA Support group for three years. I suppose Universal Credit be be in touch soon as it is replacing meanstested ESA. I have two occupational pensions in payment so I" wont qualify for Universal LCredit ESA. So likely I will have to apply for new style ESA as it is contributions based .(Hope I got that right).
