It used to take 5-6 weeks but like all the other parts of the DWP timescales have slipped, I would expect at least 8 weeks and possibly longer, you can speed the process by making sure they have a copy of the Tribunal Decision as this can often take weeks to make its way to the correct department. Thanks for the guides, my DLA appeal was upheld last week. I represented myself before a full panel of 3 and a presenting officer was also there. I think the deciding factor was probably that the EMP had made outrageous assumptions that could not be justified and his "evidence" (on which the decision was totally based) became increasingly suspect as the tribunal proceeded. Presuming that there will be no appeal to a higher authority - no precedent or point of law will be achieved by that - but how long does it usually takes these days for the Tribunal's decision to be implemented by the dept? It has been 11 months since the original disallowance. Can anyone advise? TRuss.
