Lucky Friday 13th

Against my wildest dreams I got a letter today placing me in the Support Group without having any medical. My main physical problem is osteoporosis, which has not responded to any medical treatment over the past 20 years so it does mean that I am at a high risk of fracture and mentally I do suffer with anxiety problems.
I didn't supply any extra medical evidence but they had contacted my doctor who wrote just about the dangers of me breaking bones and nothing on the anxiety so I really thought I'd had it!
I can't explain the load that has lifted from my mind as this has been ongoing since Oct'11. It took them 5 months to send the form and then a further three months for the decision.
Finally, and with this being so important I should have put it at the top! a humungous thank you to all the Mods on here who work through their illnesses and disabilities to make sure we get the best and most up to date info to help us fight this cruel and unfair system. You're all stars! Mx

Hi snow angel congratulations on ur deserved award. We're you on incapacity benefit and transferring to ESA? I am going through process just now sent form away last week it's been a nightmare but hearing stories like yours gives all of us hope

Thank snow angel u have lifted my mood I also have severe osteoporosis and osteogenesis imperfecta and have had multiple serious fractures and no intervention with drugs have helped so glad seen ur message on forum have been so I'll mentally and physically due to this process thanx again for making me smile today
