ESA Review still in Support Group was created by pewtersuitor
Hi all,
Just thought that I would leave some more positive feedback.
I have a progressive neurological disease. Last year I applied for ESA and was placed in the support group for 12 months without having to have an Atos ‘Medical’ see old thread:
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum?func=vie...id=10&id=58869#58869
In February, I received my second ESA50 to complete as the 12 months had elapsed.
I had a call back from the BDC today about my review. It appears that I have been kept in the support group (without Atos medical) and due for re assessment in 3 years.
According to the BDC 3 years is the maximum time allowed between reviews.
Thanks again to B&W and all the Mods who provide an invaluable service – I have recently renewed my subscription, and I have no doubt that it is the best money that I have ever spent!
Best wishes
John
Ps Derek 4 – your prediction of a more realistic length of award 2nd time around was spot on!

Hi JA,
That is good news.
3 years is the maximum SG award, as far as I am aware.
Have a good Easter.
