Hi Emma,
I too have requested consideration to be placed in the support group following a renewal form, which I completed in October, and changes in my medical circumstances. I have heard nothing and have phoned twice to make sure that they have (a) received my completed form, and (b) what progress is being made on my claim. They (the DWP) say that my form is still with Atos and, do not seem to know if or when I will receive a confirmation letter following their decision. Surely, they must write to you whatever their decision or how do you get a chance to appeal if necessary.

I am also experiencing deteriorating systems due to the stress and worry of waiting for confirmation of their decision. They really seem to me, totally confused themselves, or, are being deliberately 'cagey'.

Anyone else having similar experience?

Carina

It's not clear from your post whether you have requested a Reconsideration following a Decision to place you in the WRAG, or a Suppersession as the result of a new or deteriorated condition.

In either case a Decision has to be made by the DWP, and you should receive notice of this, and of course, that Decision will be appealable if required.

If your file is currently with ATOS, then this means that a medical recommendation is required, and it is possible that your GP and/or any other Health Care Professional you nominated is being contacted, which may be the reason for the delay.
