Hi everyone.
Ive just had a letter from the DWP regarding transfer from IB to ESA.
I have also received the dreaded phone call,explaining to me what it is (as if I didnt know).
In the converstion the VERY nice man said if I fill the form in correctly I will not need to attend a medical- only if they need further information-????.
BUT! In the future I will be expected to attend work focused interviews regularly-have you heard of this before?

This is an absolute disgrace, the man on the phone is in no position to tell you, that if you fill your form in correctly, that you will not have to attend a face to face, and will be placed into the WRAG.
These decisions are not for him to make, it is up to the ESA Decision Maker and ATOS.
This is a very good game of miscommunication, and psychology that is being played in my opinion, and is totally wrong.
If I was you I would make a complaint to my M.P.
Unless claimants complain about this constant misinformation it will continue.
Of course being put into the WRAG may be the correct assessment for you, I don't know, but neither does the man on the phone, unless he is some kind of clairvoyant super disability analyst.

Does it mean stating the correct level of disability, ticking the correct boxes, answering all the questions and signing the form?
He probably meant to say what's printed on the form.
If we are able to get enough information about you from this questionnaire, your doctor or the person treating you, we may not need to ask you to attend a face-to-face assessment.

Not only is what he told you self-contradictory but he is effectively saying that you will be placed in the WRAG without even receiving your ESA50 for a decision to be made!
Is this an Atos or a DWP employee?
Either way it is misinformation being communicated to the claimant.

I did this using your guides and it made me think-I will go go my local cab for them to look over the form-just to make sure.
Their reply was very informative-and first class!.
!
Afterward I contacted my Gp re support letter and was told this isnt usually done? and it was mentioned that they were snowed under with requests from the DWP regarding this form in any case.
Today I had an opa appointment at hospital, and I asked the same question,they said that this isnt usually done--they deal direct with the DWP-has anyone had the same problems?.

I am afraid we hear this all too often.
Your GP may be more amenable if you offer to pay for the report, this may work with the hospital as well.
You can try and prep your GP in the hope that this will help them complete an ESA113 report for the DWP. You need to be careful not to prompt their replies as this may de-value the content, but still make sure they understand how your disabilities affect your ability to meet the ESA criteria.
You can request a copy of your medical records from your surgery, these should include any correspondance from your Consultants and Nurses.
I'm sure some of the other forum members will have some ideas to help you.
