My appointment was at a medical center and was with a registered nurse, who wasn't foreign for a change.

It was a pleasant experience, probably because the women were pretty and the outcome positive.

I have Chronic PTSD, agoraphobia, and depression. The whole thing was a complete waste of time as her decision was made before I even sat down.

Why they dragged me in I do not know, how long this decision is for and whether I will be equally well treated I do not know either.

I hope I get the same nurse next time tho' ;)

I applied for a home visit but was refused, I do not know why considering the immediacy of her ultimate decision. Maybe my appearance swung it?

Thanks to all who offered congrats. :)

Thanks for the info C,

Why on earth did they drag you there?

I know you will be trying to destress, but if you request your ESA65, and ESA85, you will know how you got in support group, and when your review date is. May help in the future.

Shouldn't be that much info on the ESA85 though with a 1 minute assessment, LOL.

best wishes

The medical report will state the start and finish time of the medical, and the time the report was completed. It may be several minutes in all, but I still think she should give back her fee.

ATOS don't make the Decision, just a recommendation back to the DWP Decision Maker, although it would seem unlikely in this case that they will disagree :)

Good point shrimp.

From what the OP has said, it does at least show that while DWP decision makers have had their rubber stamps taken away from them and given the responsibility to make decisions, Atos doctors still have the confidence to make decisions and show the claimant that they are still the boss!

I know we're being somewhat "tongue in cheek", with regard to this ridiculously short assessment Derek, but there would be more grounds for ATOS not being paid here, than in a situation were they have spent the normal amount of time on an assessment, and entered a load of nonsense in the report.

It should also be taken into account that they have been grossly and blatantly errant in their assessment of the OP in not granting him a home assessment, and compelling him to attend, being aware of his conditions.

A prime situation for a major complaint to the M.P. etc.

However, I suppose the OP is just content that he got the correct assessment, and will get a bit of peace, and who can blame him. !

cheers
