Jacqui,

sorry to hear of your plight, I don't want to put a dampener on things, but even though your recent blood tests do help to confirm your current condition, don't forget that the Appeals Tribunal will make there decision based on how you were at the time of your original adverse decision, which I gather was last year.

I would certainly mention it on the day anyway.

If the Tribunal go against you, you could always reapply in the future using your new evidence and support from your new G.P.

Sorry can't comment on whether your reading is high, however I'm sure if you put the info into google it will come up with a lot of info that will help.

good luck in your appeal.

I really feel you have to consolidated how your illness effects you and would recommend that the contact the Firbmyalgia society to see if they can give you support.

Just because the tests are recent, it does not mean that the condition is excluded from being discussed at the Tribunal, if Jacqui is able to show that she suffered from the condition at the time of the Decision and it impacted on her care or mobility needs, it would still be admissable, even though it was not diagnosed at the time.

It is the effects of the illness or disability that matter not the specific diagnosis, although a proper diagnosis does go towards supporting the claimants statements.

Gordon, you have quoted me, but not fully, and have omitted the following line,

"I would certainly mention it on the day anyway"

The important fact that I was trying to put across to Jacqui, was to remember that the Tribunal make their decision on her condition and resulting needs, at the time of the original adverse decision.

As you know, many people are not aware of this fact.

It would seem from her post that she has not received much support from her old G.P. in the past.

Of course, Gordon, I agree with your info also.

Sorry Jacqui, if I have caused you any confusion.

cheers

bro58.
