Back Dated Payments From Appeal Wins. was created by Tracy A
I posted a couple of weeks ago that my partner won his Esa and Dla appeals on 28th June.
We were given paper work saying that the appeal board would notify the dla & esa within a couple of working days.
We waited a week then called both and were told they hadn't recieved any paperwork from the appeals.
We made an appointment at the jobcenter and the advisor faxed over the paper work to the DLA and ESA another week later we called the esa and dla and they say they haven't recieved any paper work?!?! we were there when they were faxed over as the advisor showed us the paperwork!
Starting to get fed up now we waited 2 years from the date of the claims for the appeals and now they're dragging their feet again..
Is there anything else we can do to speed this up, we just want to put this all behind us once and for all.
Many thanks
Tracy.

Hi Tracy
I'm afraid it's quite common for the DWP to take several weeks to receive a decision notice from the tribunal. I suspect the Royal Mail delivers it promptly and for whatever reason it takes a few weeks to reach the relevant department within the DWP!
Sending a copy yourself to the office that handles your claim may speed up the process.
If you don't get any joy from that you could make a complaint to the Customer Services Manager.
Did the Jobcentre advisor give you a receipt for the fax sent, like the one you get when you use a public library to send a fax?

Thank you for your reply Derek.
No the advisor didn't give us copies, but she did show us the recipts to show they had been faxed over.
It's so annoying that they drag their heels all the time.
When complaining to customer services, which dept do we complain to? is is DLA & ESA or DWp in general?
Much appreicated
Tracy.

Hi Tracy
I think you would need to write to the CSM of both departments (ESA & DLA) as they deal with your claims separately.
Good luck

Hi,
It might be worth sending a copy of the decision recorded delivery...that way you can check on-line and see who signed for it.
I had my appeal on the 29th of June and I had a letter yesterday saying they had amended the decision on the system and that my DLA arrears were on their way to me...so it's taken a couple of weeks. You had your appeal a day before me, so I would think that they should have received the appeal decision sent by the Tribunal Service by now.
I hope you get it sorted. I can totally understand your frustration.
