Can you please explain the difference between contributory ESA and income based ESA. My letter states "based on your National Insurance Contribution records and anyt additional amount the law says you need to live on. We call this Contributory based and Income Related Employment and Support Allowance" I am confused because when speaking to Tax Credits I am told the difference can affect elements of tax credits. I know this is not your area, but I would just like to know what the difference is? Any advice welcome.
