JCP Offer

Just received a letter from the JCP to attend a meeting for a health update and JCP offer any idea what the Offer is about and what to expect??

I've heard that help under the new work programme is being referred to as 'offers' but haven't the faintest idea what they are.

As a matter of interest does the letter say that the meeting is mandatory or your benefit will be affected if you do not attend?

Hi Derek, letter reads as follows-
I am your Personal Advisor as part of the on going support Jobcentreplus can offer, I have arranged a meeting on --- . The reason for the meeting is to discuss a general health update and JCP Offer.
Please get in touch with me asap if you wish to discuss other issues, or require additional support to enable you to attend the meeting. You can bring someone with you to the meeting , this can be a friend, relative or anyone you wish, please contact me asap if you cannot attend.

It sounds like a replacement for work-focused interviews. I've no idea what the 'offer' is but I doubt it's anything you will be thrilled about. Only the DWP could be stupid enough to come up with such a name and thoughtless enough to call claimants for an interview without giving any information regarding what it's about.

I would be grateful to hear how the interview goes and what's on offer.

Ring them up and 'offer' them that you want a home visit.. that should shut them up...!!

Could be the DWP want to offer condolences for being out of work!
