Hi all hoping for some help.I receive Dla higher rate mobility and lower rate care component.I also receive esa at £65.35 per week.my esa is contribution based and I have been receiving it for 18 months now since I was medically retired after an accident at work.I have been attending a consultant for the past few months with short term memory loss and after brain scans and ecgs he now tells me I have early onset altzheimers. My question is would it be worth my while applying for a higher rate of dla care component? I ask this because having seen some of the horror stories about people with disabilities losing dla might I be better not rocking the boat as they say.also would I be entitled to a higher rate on esa? Thanks for any help.
