Bullied out of job & ESA

I can relate to your problems at work, i used to drive to work stomach churning etc never knowing what to expect. I was tube fed through a tube in my nose and i was bullied and had snide remarks made within earshot it was an absoloute nightmare. I have severe crohn's disease and had this when i was taken on by this company so they couldn't dismiss me for taking time off due to this. My life was a living nightmare and the sress and lack of sleep made things worse. Eventually i was so down trodden and exhausted that i had a fall breaking my arm along with other injuries which i needed time off work with as i needed surgery, also the crohn's was through the roof and i was in a complete mess.

The company started to make redundancies and guess what i was the first to go. But although i didn't see it at the time they did me a massive favour. They claimed it wasn't anything to do with health, though reading between the lines it really was.

Have you got all your incidents recorded with HR? I would in your position follow Peter's advice and go and see your GP, to hell with the scrounger and cheats label, you are obviously working in an unbearable situation and you need to take action now. Your health and wellbeing is worth more than all of them bullies put together, nobody should have to endure what you are trying to deal with.

hi how long have you worked for them and what do you do there is athing called employment law in this country and if it is not correctley followed companies can find themselves in all sorts of trouble have you or your union put any complaints in writing please come back with some more information regarding your case peter

8yrs. There's loads of stuff in writing along the way disputing minutes etc. & I've kept every e-mail down to the read receipts. But when I last tried to collate/sort things out was shaking so much couldn't even hole punch them.
We've been told can't put formal grievance in until process complete (& they've taken 4yrs to not complete - which I reckon is a breach of our Agenda for Change T&Cs re: any Dignity at Work issue being addressed within a 'reasonable timescale'). Let alone disability harassment (but apparently could be hard to prove as strangely enough after watching what's happened to me for 4yrs witnesses don't want to risk being next victim), not following their own procedures (about 4 of them, plus applying them differently than to others on same team).....
But even if employer was honest enough to uphold a grievance & say 'sorry' that's still not a salary or my health (apologies - I know I'm in black hole mode with it all)

I was in a similar situation but luckily my firm gave me ill health redundancy as I was not able to cope with the job any more.

As I did not just leave the job but was made effectively redundant I received a pay off and was able to go straight onto Job Seekers Allowance then in later years onto IB where I still am today.

I don't know if that could be a route out for you?

hi snowy owl been worried about you all weekend you say you have worked for 8 years so how many weeks are you entitled to full sick pay is it 3 or 6 months if it is 3 months get your GP to sign you off for 3months stating stess and depression due to ongoing work problems in your last post you state she said they would get you through your sick leave this is classed in employment law as verbal bullying your case is one of the worst casea of harrasement and bullying I have come across if the moderators will allow me I would be happy to give you my phone number so I can help you thats how upset your situation makes me you must not resign or walk away from this IT has to be stopped right now IF you get your doctors note for 3months that puts you in a very strong posistion they will have to deal with your grievance they may threaten you with dismissal and Iknow you have a morgage and they want to panic you in to resigning you already have a very srong case if they were to sack you with your permission I would take it to a employment tribunal where I have no dought you would win If its not stopped now this will continue probally to other people as well I hope you have the trust in me to fight this for you sorry this is so long but you need help now best wishes peter
