I work for a goverment organisation but was inured in work, I am still off
workand although I am paid part my wage my SSP stopped and was told to apply for ESA which i did I have now been sent the ESA 50 form, which I am trying to fill in,my job is still there if I can return to it depending on how my injury mends,this form doesnt seem very relevant to me, ? any ideas

hi i hope i can answer the work part for you has your injury at work been noted in the works accident on duty book what is your injury how long do you expect to be off work and how many years have you worked for the company if you can give me this information i will be able to help you further peter

yes the incident was put in the health and safety book it was a major incident involving being attacked by a patient so the armed police were called, I have worked for the organisation for10 years and have only had 2 weeks sick in that time, I am hoping to go back to work within the next 6-12 months I suffered a fracture requiring surgery and psychological effects of this as well, thanks for your helpfulness :)

You are entitled to claim ESA as soon as your SSP finishes.

If you are sturggling with the ESA50 form you should consider getting advice from your local CAB or Welfare Rights office.

Hi Juican 1, Are you in a Trade Union?. Some unions do have Legal/Welfare Depts, You could seek advice through them (usually free). Best Wishes
