Hi, really pleased to report we went from LRC to HRC and LRM at our tribunal today. It wasn't the best way to spend an afternoon but the waiting was by far the worst bit.
There were three on the panel and also a person from the DWP who also asked me questions. The hearing lasted for 55 minutes and then they ask you to go back into the waiting room and told me it would be about 15 to 20 minutes. The DWP rep also comes out with you but waits in a different room.
After 3 1/2 minutes they called me back in and told me the decision. The award was given for 4 years. i went totally on my own without a rep which wasn't ideal but if you do your homework and read and re read your appeal papers you have nothing to worry about.

Well done, especially for going it alone.

I have had two tribunals cancelled on the day one in Jan. and the next in March 2011, (this was a re-hearing ordered by the Upper Tribunal judge for DLA. The Judge said there was a conflict of interest both times e.g. EMP and panel members knew each other so they adjourned it (seems like a lame excuse to me) as they used this excuse both times) they are looking for someone else...
I am still waiting to hear... original claim was January 2009...
I hope you can get yours over and done with tomorrow.
