DLA Mobility component

Hi,does anyone know what is going to happen to dla claimants when they are reassessed under the new PIP, who use their mobility component to hire a car through the Motability scheme and may loose their benefit, then they will loose the Motability car?

Also, Dla claimants who live abroad are they to be reassessed?

If a woman reaches her pensionable age of 62 and claiming Dla will she be reassessed for PIP because she will be under the new ruling of working age of 65?

That's quite a lot of questions.

With regard to Motability, whether they lose their car will probably depend on the type of arrangement they have with Motability. It would be worth contacting Motability and asking them what arrangements they are putting in place to help people whose award ends through no fault of their own but simply because the assessment criteria have changed.

It seems very likely that DLA claimants living abroad will be reasessed.

Pensionable ages are being gradually increased and I'm afraid i don't know when they will reach 65 for women, but clearly this will affect who gets transferred to PIP from DLA.

that will tell you when your pension age ... with that if you know the year pip change affects you then you should have a little better idea whats going on
