List of assessment centres
- originaldave
Seems there is one now in my local town where as before I had to travel to Aylesbury, which from here is hard to get to and if I remember right I had a morning appointment. They gave me a list of travel options, public transport being one. It would have meant I would have had to have left home at 5am!! That was upstairs but they had an awful lift, the type where it was just a platform that went up and the walls moved.. freaky!!
However the only information it gives is opening times, phone number - that there is a water cooler and chairs with arms. The address does say its lower ground of the building though, so does that mean basement level and not the level you go into the building on? hmmmm!!
try google street map have a look at the buildings out side also by putting the post code into google you can see what other companies are in the building or if its stand alone

There are other companies that share the building by the looks of it, but its hard to tell if there is a lower ground unless I suppose you enter building to see..

I can remember that my local dentist moved to new premises as he said in order to comply with government legislation he needed to be in premises so that disabled people could have access. I am surprised therefore that ATOS are allowed to have these assessment centres for the sick and disabled which make no allowances for them.

It is ludicrous that a medical centre doesn't. But then, they're not really medical centre's I suppose
