For the appeal, what about getting a medical report from your GP or consultant? You could explain to your doctor what the criteria are for the support group to ensure that he mentions the relevant frequency and entirety of the voiding of your bladder/bowels.

I WILL IN HAVE ALSO STATED THEY ARE WELCOME TOO SPEAK AGAIN WITH MY COLORECTAL SURGEON ASWELL AS MY GP,I FIND IT SO FRUSTRATING!!THEY HAVE ACKNOLOWEDGED I HAVE A NEUROGENIC BLADDER SO WHY NOT THE BOWELS ?
It may be that im not totally diagnoised i have ownly been diagnoised for part of my condition i have long standing AS (ankylosing spondylitis)undiagnoised for 20+ years, and now also suffer with suspected cauda equina syndrome (which is supposed to be rare)but this is still in an undiagnoised capacity as the docs at the NHS put it?Despite collapsing one day in 2009 withcomplete b&b then after the collapse and loss of feeling in back and bum, find out at a very later date i have neurogenic presenting bladder and bowels,So as you can see im a little complex but despite this it has been explained on numerous occasions in writing aswelll as verbal i was put on support immediatly and didnt have a medical last year, despite nothing changing for the better health wise they (atos)seem oblivious too my plight!!

I bet they are getting your neurogenic shock mixed up with spinal shock which with treatment soon gets better yours might but more chace it wont have you been seen by an incontinent nurse ? they will write a report which is in lay mans term that even atos and a DM maker might be able to understand and would be understood by a tribunal

people dont like a nurse doing atos medicals... but they are worth there weight in gold for the type of report you need to suppport your case IMO of course :)
