DLA decision made in 1 week without checks -Usual?

Sorry, I forgot to pop back and post an update

I wrote and asked for a reconsideration, because I felt it unfair that old ESA info had been used to make a judgement, whilst my doctor and therapist had not been contacted for an up to date assessment of my health problems.
My therapist then was sent what I can only describe as an 'opinion' form to complete, and a couple of weeks later, I was awarded lower rate mobility, and lower rate care for two years.

I am so very grateful for this assistance and glad I didn't buckle and give up like I did last year.
