As part of the WCA review which was started by the last government and has now been implemented by the coalition government, the descriptors have been comprehensively revised to the point where previous descriptors carry less points, and some have been removed altogether.
The descriptors you have mentioned may very well have been removed from the revised WCA, and you can check by referring to Statutory Instrument 2011 No 228 The Employment and Support Allowance (Limited Capability for Work and Limited Capability for Work-Related Activity) (Amendment) Regulations 2011

Thanks Crazydiamond for the link. Acccording to the Amendment the 9 point Descriptors for Mobilising 100m and Sitting and Standing for 30 minutes and hands on top of your head are all included in the amended regulations. Its very strange and most confusing.

It's very simple the new test has not been made to see if your sick its been made to find most people fit for work, moving the goal posts is what they have done, its is as if they have looked at each question with the idea being is how can we word it so people are fit to work unless dead ... or soon will be
the nest step I think will be with the esa 50, that like the dla will need 6 months of ill health to apply, to get esa of grounds of being terminal, you wont get it with 6 months to live they will cut it to 3 months to live so they cut the numbers getting it under that rule

Dave that might well be the case. If you take a look at the test for the new WCA on this site the 9 point Descriptors are included in section 1. Lets hope it is a mistake by the DWP. Can anyone else enlighten me as I am still confused!
