I'm a manual wheelchair user, but can't manage to push myself more than 15 feet due to oesteo-arthrist, having both my hands in splints and periodic paralysis from cervical spondylosis that's rendering me increasingly quadraplegic; so that would seem like the scenario they have in mind.

That would seem a reasonable argument.

The key issue with this test in particular, is the need to address not just walking but mobilising using a wheelchair.

However, until we see the guidance from the DWP as to how this test is to interpreted, possibly backed up by case law from a Tribunal, it is very difficult to advise how to answer this successfully.

I know that Steve is working on a new set of guides, but I am not sure how close to publishing them, as we had to wait to see what the ESA50 says.

ta for that..... we do seem to be spending more and more time on here looking at all the things we dont know about yet (as the ESA50 not out ) and lokking for ways to deal with the situation they put people in... do we have a date for the ESA50 being released ... as there is a way to see if its been upload to the DWP web site but not gone live ;)
