Misty, thank you for your help and passing on your experience. I am clearly confused about EVERYTHING.

CBT?
So you agree to a helpful "activity"?
thanks again.

When I was diagnosed with my latest problem, I asked my GP for CBT. It helped a wee bit. But it did not make my health issues any better. cmarie510.

Hi Cmarie
You start a new topic by clicking on 'new thread', but any benefit questions or results of claims/appeals get posted to the Questions, Problems & Results forum. The Discussion forum is for general benefit discussions rather than questions.
With regards to CBT, most people I know who have used it have not found it helpful, but it appears to be one of the few courses on offer for people with mental health problems.
There are many therapies that can help a claimant's condition, but whether it can magically make them fit for work, as the providers would like to believe, is another matter.
Regards
Derek

Thanks for the clarification Derek.
I with you regarding the questionability of therapies (CBT especially) in relation to making one fit for work.
Good luck to us all. I say it again: I am so happy that I found BandW.
