I'm seeing him next week to discuss it again, I'm tempted to call up tomorrow morning and just ask them to reconsider.
I'll explain how I can't actually leave my house to walk anywhere as I wouldn't make it out of my street.
On the other hand I'm unsure if I should call as I feel I might get a bit emotional at how they've decided my award without actually thinking about what I've written.

Hope you are feeling a bit more upbeat and positive today. Give them a ring, get a name, file it. I doubt it will do much good BUT you will have lodged your issues and I always feel that being pro active helps on a personal level.
Try and keep it straight forward and point out that the information they ask for was ignored.
Good luck
Helen

SWMS wrote “”On the form he filled in with me for claiming we put 'I am unable to walk at all without experiencing severe pain and discomfort. If I am required to walk I have to stop frequently.
How far can you walk before you feel severe discomfort - 0 meters
How many minutes can you walk before you feel severe discomfort - 0 minutes””
I have written something similar on my DLA forms for the past 10 years. I was told to put 0 meters/ mins by the people helping me fill in the forms. I have always been previously awarded. I did the same for this renewal and had my dla stopped. (this was one reason)
This was before I found this site.
When I consulted CAB they told me that it would always be thrown out “these days” with 0 written on it and I should have written 30 or 40. even though I can sometimes have severe discomfort from just taking one step.

Thanks Martha/Helen this really is a nightmare isn't it. I just knew I should have left the report from my neuro visit out and sent the form off as it was
I just rang them and lodged the fact that I want a reconsideration. I'm taking the forms they've sent to my CAB today and the guy who helped me fill them in will contact me next week.
The woman I spoke to said 'I can't see all the info or why they denied you but if you can walk 100 metres then you wouldn't be eligible'
That's exactly what was given as the reason I was cut to lower so I guess she obviously could see what was written or are those the set guidelines 100 metres generally means no HRM?
I explained that whilst I could do this it was painful for me to do so and that as far as mobility goes I cannot even walk to the end of my street. Without a car I'm housebound and walking even 10 metres causes pain.
She has lodged the request and I have 4 weeks to write a letter outlining why I feel the decision was incorrect. The guy who helped me this time told me he has done plenty before, but the young guy who helped me last time got me the award first time so I can't help but feel him talking me into sending the report too is what's caused the problems.

CAB guy has just come around to get me to sign the consent form in order that he can write to ask for a reconsideration.
He's not very happy with them as they've taken into account nothing written on the form other than the 100metres/2mins thing on the report.
I'm also getting a letter from my neurophysio explaining how hard it is for me to walk any distance and that I have pain/balance problems trying to walk anywhere.
I'm hopeful that it will all be resolved a little more quickly than if we have to go to appeal. I won't hold my breath though as we all know how awkward things can get
