PIP instead of DLA (But not for the over 65's)?

I was wondering before whether people over 65 would have to go through the medical assessment for the new PIP taking over from DLA as there did'nt seem to be anything about it. I have just read on the disability alliance website that they are planning on stopping payments for the over 65's. Surely this is a sick joke, anyone else heard this.

The loss of DLA at 65 could also affect other premiums badly for pension credit along with Carers Allowance.
Hopefully AgeUK and others will pick upon this as it will immobilise many pensioners.
