The same thing happened to me, I was awarded 6 points but when I appealed it, I did not have to go to an appeal tribunal they looked at their decision and said that I had 15 points and so awarded me the work related ESA.
The only down side is I got this award in November 2010 but I have discovered from my personal adviser at the work focused interviews, that I will have to go through the whole process again filling in the ESA50 in February 2011 and going in front of the Atos doctor.
So at the minute I am waiting for the form to come in again and start all over again
