DLA

Got my letter yesterday, finally after applying november 2010.

Been awarded high rate for mobility and low rate for care.

Really pleased, first time application. This site helped enormously when completing the forms. Think my consultant was very compelling as well.

Got my pension, DLA, now waiting on ESA for the hat-trick . Got my medical on 1/3/11.

Will the fact that i have been awarded DLA swing anything with ESA??

Well done on your DLA award

Theoretically, DLA and ESA are two separate benefits using a different assessment process. However, in recent months DWP Decision Makers have been using ESA reports to assist with DLA claims, so I see no reason why a successful DLA claim shouldn't be of help with your ESA claim.

I wish that I had discovered this site when I was at that stage. Brand new here.
Well they used my ESA nil points medical for turning down my DLA application so why not the other way around .
