DWP letter was created by rachel1
I received a letter last week entitled Your Incapacity Assessment. It told me that I met the threshold for incapacity.
I wondered why I had received it. I've been on Incapacity Benefit for several years, and last had a medical in 2008.

I was sent an IB50 form in June last year, and didn't hear back from that. I was wondering if that was the reason I got this letter? If so does that mean its taken them more than 6 months to assess me?

Or is it because they are gearing up to reassess people who were previously exempt from the PCA, for the new scary WCA?

Or am I just worrying too much...

Hi Rachel

It does sound like you were assessed on paper in June and it has taken them this long to make a decision or inform you.

Some claimants have reported even longer waits, however.
