Do you mean DLA or ESA?

Neither is based on having a specific condition, but if you were to say which benefit you are asking about, we could point you in the right direction.

Judy

I assume you mean DLA :)

DLA is not awarded for a particular illness or disability, but rather, because of the effect that it has on your daily life. For example, do you have additional care requirements because of your illness.

Have a look at the DLA guides in the Members area and they will help you decide whether you are eligible or not, and if you are, help you make a claim.

DLA isn't granted according to what condition you have, but according to your care and/or mobility needs.

For the care component, this has to be a need to have someone else physically present to help you with a range of activities collectively known as bodily functions, which include things like toiletting and washing.

If you can manage your condition by yourself, you will not be entitled to the care component.

The mobility component is at two rates. The lower rate relates to needing supervision when in unfamiliar places, which doesn't seem obviously relevant to your condition, and the higher rate relates to having physical problems walking or behavioural problems when out and about. Neither of these seem obviously relevant to me, but only you can say whether they are.
