I am not sure where i will stand. I am inreceipt of a 40% war Pension, Lower standard of occupasion and mobililty supplement, i also get a small pension from the Royal mail after getting medically retired and i also get Incapacity long term with age allowance.
I am right in thinking i will lose incapacity when it goes over to ESA
Thanks Paul

I have asked my MP to look into this, as I have heard all sorts of stories... in my case as they withhold IB as I get unsupp but they still pay serps I should get it... but the War Pensions hand outs say if you get ESA you cant have unsupp or lower standard.... depending when you started getting IB
its a mess

Hi Dave, I know you are very informed but I thought I'd put up this link just incase!!!
www.monetos.co.uk/pensions/state-pension...mobility-supplement/
its not to do with mobility supp its to do with unemployability and lower standard of living allowances that go with war pensions
in the past if you had lower standard and got sick you could also claim IB
with unemployability if you had it already you held onto some of your IB about 30% new rules means with these 2 allowances you cant have ESA
there are cut of dates and strange rules that even the DWP war pensions agency get mixed up

Is there anyone fighting this?
yes the legion and rafa are onto it, but as no one is sure whats happening its hard to fight
as of sep 2010 out of 145,542 war pensioners 7,300 get unemploy supp and 11,400 lower standard aprox
