PC not paid no prior reason given was created by sian
Checked the bank account this morning as i always do on a Monday, only to find that hubbies PC hasn't been paid in. Phoned the Pension Service and they can't find any reason for this to happen and we won't have an answer until next Monday. I've checked our paperwork and my husband gets Pension Credit guaranteed credit which my IB is paid under his umbrella. I've had no IB/ESA forms come through and our circumstances are exactly the same as they were last week, so does anyone have answers as to why this has happened???
Any ideas gratefully received,in the meantime we'll have to manage on the little bit of savings we have got (for heating oil etc).

In the first instance, I would get back in touch with the Pension Service immediately.
To wait a week for an explanation as to why a payment of PC has not been made on the due date is unacceptable. If you receive no satisfaction from the officer who deals with your telephone call about your enquiry as to the missing payment, ask to speak to a supervisor and demand an explanation. It is simply not good enough to tell claimants to wait for an extended period of time, to locate a missing payment.
I would suspect the reason for non-payment is down to a clerical error, but the DWP are very adept at spouting the well-worn old chestnut that the computer is to blame. A definite case of BSE, which on this occasion would be 'blame something else!'

lol thanks Crazy, i completely agree with you ... it's pretty disgustng to tell us to wait a week for an answer and it's not doing my stress levels much good either; which are pretty high at present as my husband is going in for surgery to his shoulder on Friday! We're already trying to work out what's got to be paid etc.. and this is just the start of things to come!! Think more 'happy' pills might be in order lol

Just a quick 'update'. Took onboard crazy's advice and phoned again this morning.. told the advisor what had happened and that i'd been in touch with my local Welfare Advisor (well in my view that's exactly what this site is) and was told the payment went out late yesterday and will arrive in the bank by 13th Jan (Thurs). No reason given other than possibly due to the weather??? Or... yes you were right crazy..... computer error

did you know, the DWP can do an instant payment into your account using the CHAPS (clearing house automated payment system) if you ask them.
