does it go against you if someone else like a family member filled in the form for you. I freak out with this kind of thing. What is the best way around it jasmine :(

It's not a problem at all. Just get them to fill it out as if it was you, then get them to fill in the bit that says they filled in the form for you.

A lot of people get DWP forms filled in by advisers, carers etc. A family member would be no different.

Don't forget to read our guides to filling in the forms before starting.

Hi Jasmine

I think the opposite is true. It can go against you (if you have a mental illness) if you fill in the form yourself, as it demonstrates some level of ability with regards to completing tasks, sustaining personal action, memory and concentration, etc.

As Survivor said, it's fine to get anybody else to complete the form.

Good luck

Derek
