PS Paula, I know that this is a very difficult time, but please do get some support with your emotional response to this all. See our guidelines to what to do if you are in distress (at the top of this forum).

Hi Paula

Please try again with a fresh application as survivor has said. You will obviously have to go on assessment rate as before but you know you will be getting some money. If you have to appeal which does seem to be the norm get someone to go with you, even if things are bad let them see how you really are. Would your gp or consultant be willing to write a report in your favour? A lot of members on this site have been where you are now so please dont give up.

There is a lot of literature on this site that i wish i had found before i applied for ESA it would have saved a lot of heartache. I guess DWP want us to throw in the towel which is why they make it so difficult for us. I had worked all my life up until 2 years ago and when i really needed help there wasn't any. You are not useless nor are you a failure, you are a true fighter and i really hope that this gives you the strength to fight, fight for what is rightfully yours.

Sending you a big hug!!!
Mm :)
