Can anyone clarify the following:

Is Pension Credit paid when a person reaches the age of 60, if they haven't got any other income?

I read somewhere that a person does NOT have to work when they reach 60 and that a benefit can be claimed if they haven't got any, or very little, savings.

I don't mean the State Pension. I think its called Pension Credit or something like that.

many thks.
