Basic "Support Group" questions was created by dragon
Hi everyone!
From what I can gather, being in the "Support Group" means just 2 things:
I'll write more about my first 'Pathways' interview when I have more energy. It makes for an interesting story but it's not strictly covered by scope of the site so I hope it gets approved when I submit it!
Anyway, back to my original question: My research tells me that being in the Support Group just means the above 2 things and nothing else. Am I right?
Thanks for reading.

- 1. You get more money than you would if you were in the Work Related Activity Group
2. You do not have to attend the Pathways to Work interviews.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The proposed changes to ESA, likely to come in to effect in April next year, will mean that if you are receiving Contribution Based ESA and are in the Support Group, then you will not be subject to the one year limit before being switched to Income Related ESA, subject to a means test.

Is that all there is to it or am I missing something else? I was recently told by the doctor who conducted my ESA medical that he would be putting me into the Support Group because there's no possible way my condition can ever improve.
