May 2010 heard I failed medical got 12 points

Appealed end of May

Phone DWP in June was told decision maker
Agreed with ATOS and my appeal was with
The tribunal services.

Phoned every few weeks since June and
Have been sending medical certs.

Phoned last Friday and was told to ring
Tribunal service in Sutton.
They have no record of my appeal!
Phone Dwp and they tell me I will get a call
Back within 4 hours

Monday …still no phone call

Tuesday phone again ..I am told there
Are 20,000 appeals in the London and surrey area…
And still no trace of my appeal…the very nice lady at
Appeals office will ring dwp direct..no point ringing any 0845
number ..She said it’s just a call centre!

Tuesday afternoon….I am sitting at the hospitial..having
A blood test ( did I say I was ill )
The phone rings…

We are very sorry there has been a mistake..the decision
maker agreed with your appeal in June and you are in the work related activity group
Can I scream ?
They will phone be back in the morning…
because I want to ask some questions..

My first question would be "How soon can you put that in writing and get it in the post to me" followed by "when do I get my money?" Hopefully, both will happen now and you'll get a bit of Christmas spending money.

Appeals- 20,000 in London and Surrey area. Any guesses how much this is Costing the Coalition(and in this area alone) !

I didn't quite understand why you were told that there were 20,000 appeals in the system.

Was that an excuse for not being able to find one of them?

I wonder how many of the 20,000 appeals are ESA appeals?

I wouldn't be surprised if at least 19,000 are appeals of this kind!
