Can you still send medical evidence in after you have had your medical for ESA If you can how long after are you able to do this?I have had my medicle.
My appointment was cancelled twice and during this time my condition got worse. My gp was writing me a letter to explain this and the diagnoses but it didnt turn up in time for me to take it in. I hope I can still send it off.
thanks

Hi wingedwarrior
A decision maker has to consider all of the evidence in front of him; I see no reason why this should not apply to evidence he receives after the medical, as long as the information is received before a decision is made.
I would suggest you send the medical evidence as soon as possible with a dated cover letter, and send it recorded delivery so that you have proof of the date it was sent. As long as they receive it in adequate time, it should be considered, and I think failure to consider it would weaken their case if you had to appeal an adverse decision.
Good luck
Derek

Sorry it took so long to answer. But thanks for the advice. By the time I got my letter off to them I alreday had a descion come through. I was put in the work related activity group. At least I got through the medical, thanks to this site. Although in my opinion and my body's opinion I am in the wrong group. Oh well time to appeal. Just what someone with a progressive muscle wasteing disease needs.
