No, there are seperate criteria for the Support Group, that would need to be met.

At present, you shouldn't have to attend WFIs once you reach 60, but as women's pension age which is also the age at which both men and women can get pension credit rises, the age at which you have to attend WFIs rises. Having said that, by the time the age rises, the government may have changed the WFI criteria anyway, with everything else they seem to be changing.Do things change when you are over 60 i think you replied to sickofits question
I am nearly 60.

I have appealed against an ESA decision as I am no longer fit for work after 46 years of physically-demanding manual work. As I am now 62 years old, will I still have to go for work-focussed interviews? Are there any exemptions at all for the over 60's? Your help would be very much appreciated as I can't seem to get a proper answer from the local JCP.
Hi,
There is already a thread on this which moderators have done their best to reply to. Therefore, I have deleted the two threads on the same topic.
Duplicate posting is not allowed and causes extra work for moderators, which in turn slows things down in general.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Best wishes.
