hi everyone , hubby rang appeal tribunal today ,inquiring what was holding up the issueing of the statement of reasons that we requested , The clerk told him it was in the final stages ,had been typed and sent to the legal chairperson to sign off , can you tell me what this means and any idea on the timeframe in receiving it , much obliged ,letitia
My guess is that the Judge (legal chairperson) dictated the SOR which has now been typed and has to be sent back to the Judge to be signed. Once it's signed and faxed to the Administrative Support Centre you should receive it in as long as it takes ASC to post a letter, which could be two weeks!
I would advise you to give them a ring in a week if you haven't received it, as from my experience, requests for documents from ASC can get entered onto their computer system and not acted upon.
