Having been assigned to a Work Related Activity Group (to whick I am appealing) I am just wonder what exactley happens when this ends. My medical states that I should be fit for work within 6 months. However, as I have struggled with this for 3 years, while I would love to have recovered by then, I am not holding my breathe. If I am well enough then obviously I will be looking for a job. If nothing has changed or my illness has gone worse what do I do then? If my doctor gives me a sick note then do I just reapply for ESA again? I have been told I have to wait 26 weeks before I can apply again but if I am ill then what do I do to support myself during those 26 weeks. I am hoping it doesn't come to that but just wanted to know.
It may be beneficial to await the outcome of your appeal, which I assume relates to not being placed in the support group?
If however, your appeal is not upheld, it is likely that you will be reassessed in six months time, at which point the likelihood is that you will be sent another ESA50 to complete and may be sent for a further medical assessment, following the issue/return of the ESA50.
The progress of your claim will depend upon the outcome of the WCA, so until this happens, it is impossible to speculate on the eventual outcome at this point in time.
