Report to Moderator function. was created by Jim Allison BSc, Inst LE, MBIM; MA (Consumer Protection & Social Welfare Law)
PLEASE NOTE : the 'report to moderator' function on the forum is to report problems to moderators.

In the past few days, members are using this function to either seek advice or to post an opinion.

This is not allowed, queries or opinions MUST only be posted in the forum.

You should be aware that some moderators are not online at present for various reasons, so you may have to wait longer than usual for a reply.

Using the 'report to moderator' in non appropriate circumstances could lead to your membership being suspended.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Jim

Dear Jim

I admit to having used this function twice. Once when my name was showing up in the post and the moderator amended my profile straight away.

The second time was when I spotted what I thought was an error in the documentation.

I did both of these actions because I thought the situation was serious, but would not have done so if I could have found a way of sending a message to the moderator in another way.

This is probably caused by my inexperience with the site - very sorry anyway.

Hi Rachel,

Using the 'report to moderator' was acceptable in your circumstances, so no need to apologise.

It appears that these posts have been made by a 'spammer and the member has had their membership terminated, so hopefully we should have no further problems.

Kind regards,

Jim
