differance between benefits?

Hello would anyone be able to tell me the differance between incap. benefit and income support with disabilty premium? i was awarded the 2nd one for my multiple sclorosis, well over year ago, the benefits office said i never had enough stamps to go onto incap, benefit.
tho i was self employed and the year before i was ill, admitedly i was short on stamps,but dont no weather i am just as well on income support with premium or to pay stamps missing,!!
also was awarded high rate mobility this year, till 2011 so worried about that too.
any advice most grateful. ann.

We couln't advise you on which benefit might be best for you, but most people consider income support to be preferable to incapacity benefit in that it passports you to things like free prescriptions and full housing benefit.
