Hello everyone, I'm new here and a new BW subscriber too, glad to give my little bit of cash to this site and its forum, we need all the help we can get.

On the matter of reasonable notice it sounds all too familiar, having myself received the letter to "make an appointment or else..." last week. The letter was dated the 9th, I received it on the 11th and not reading it clearly (lines are open on the weekend - yeah right) I thought I'll give Atos a ring on Monday. But, as I am so disgusted with them (I'll do another thread on this) and not particularly enclined to "talk" to these people, I thought I'd be difficult and leave it until Wednesday as by law, a reasonable time of 3 working days should prevail, so in this case, I could've received the letter Monday which gave me until Wednesday to get my act together (like that's plenty of time - not). Surprise surprise, another letter reached me on Wednesday to announce my appointment had been "arranged" for the 24th. Now the person that was due to accompany me is unavailable on that day and I am panicking at the thought of going through the ordeal of seeing an incompetent decision-maker on my own.

I managed to find a non-premium phone number and voiced my complaint about the lack of reasonable delay, I was given a lot of cow's crap.

Thanks to this site though, I will be able to make a written complaint worth its weight in gold. The joys of being too ill to work...
