ESA50 and sending me for medical was created by Alison
I got my ESA50 on the 30april and said to them as dial have long waiting lists so asked for a week extension!
on 1st june it was due i got medical and a date for it without me calling for one and arranging it, they automatically sent me one, yet DWP said they shouldnt of as they not even seen ESA50 or documentation LOL
so Atos are presuming alot by sending medicals out without looking at documentation!
No wonder our country in alot of debt

The ESA50 quite frankly is not worth the paper on which it is printed.
The issuing authority are merely paying lip service as to what a claimant writes on the form, and this is most probably why it is so scant in detail, and also the reason they insist that no evidence is submitted with the form.
In essence, they want as little evidence as possible recorded by a claimant, and seemingly having marginalised a claimant's own healthcare professionals, they are free to put the rubber stamp on the results of a medical assessment by one of their own so-called disability analysts. They even have the brass neck to instruct a claimant's GP not to issue further medical certificates when they fail the assessment!
Having said all this, you should still have been allowed to complete and return your ESA50 prior to a medical assessment.
