What is WFI letter look like? was created by kotenok
Hello dear members,
I have received a letter from jobcentre plus, which is saying
Invitation to office interview.
Dear Sir/Madam,
we need to see you in order to discuss your claim to benefit.
Would you please attend.......
It is essential that you make yourself available as to not do so may affect your claim
The letter doesn't say which benefit it referring to, or why i am invited? Does WFI letter looks like this one?
If not could anyone give me an idea on what it could be about, please? I am so terrified to go there and afraid to call them to find out what it is about, let alone my health problems!
Any thoughts advise and help are very appreciated.
Thanks beforehand.

Hi,
This doesn't sound like a work-foucsed interview letter. I suspect the only way you are going to find out is to telephone and ask, daunting though that may seem.
Good luck,
Steve

Hi Steve, thanks for your response.
Oh no, this is scary then. At least i know what WFI is after reading this forum, but now i am totally confused... This
is so frustrating, why couldn't they just say in the letter what it is about and which benefit it relates to!??!
Do you, or anyone, know if WFI letter literally have a wording "like you are invited for Work Focus Interview", or some thing like this? What if i just ignore this letter? Can i not go to job centre?
Thanks again

As Steve has said the only way you're going to find out is to telephone and ask what it's all about.
Also with respect to ignoring the letter it does say "It is essential that you make yourself available as to not do so may affect your claim" I think this part of the letter is fairly self explanatory.

Hi Denise,
Regretfully, the Personal Message system is no longer useable by members since the forum software was upgraded. This is due to the fact that members can use the same login aka screen name, so no way of knowing which member is posting.
If you want to communicate privately with another member I can only suggest you e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your e-mail address, and he can pass it to the member concerned.
We don't recommend that any member should post their e-mail address in the forum since it is accessible to read by guests not just members, and doing so would lead to you getting loads of junk mail.
Hope this helps.
