I had medical last Saturday and results 4 days later. I was allowed to continue with IB till September and then another review. As 6 months was far shorter than my previous 5 years I phoned DWP and asked for a copy of the medical report. Although the assessor disagreed with a number of my answers on my IB50. The most important challenge I would like to make is thet he has said in his report "Prognosis: I advise that the claimants condition should improve significantly within 6 months" I have had the same problems both MCS and physical for 21 years for which I have received IB. I am now nearing 60 and am unlikely ever to improve. How can he say that I will and what can I do. I will receive the benefit for another 6 months but would like the DWP to reassess the likelyhood of my potential improvement and contest his statement. Would you please advise.
I'm afraid we cannot give advice on individual claims as is explained in FAQ
We try to advise in general when we can, but currently two of our moderators who are benefits advisers are off on long term sickness, and the forums are the busiest I've ever known.
You need to seek 'face to face' advice from an agency such as your local CAB or from Community Legal Advice
