I have had my migration letter to go from ESA support group to Universal credit. I have until March. I made an appointment at the citizens advice for help, but it's only open Monday / Wednesday / Friday mornings, and Monday mornings are for Universal credit help. I have an appointment on the 3rd February.
I got my ESA paid today. My next payment is due on the 4th February and I'm really worried that if I put the universal credit claim in on the 3rd, I won't get paid on the 4th (and I really need that payment, as today's ESA payment is mostly bill /rent money for the next month) I do get PIP but that's not due until the 11th.
So, my question is: if I put my universal credit claim in on the 3rd, will I still get my ESA payment on the 4th? Thanks.
You have contacted your local Citizens Advice but I think you would be better advised to use the National Citizens Advice Help to Claim service. The phone number is on page 2 of your Managed Migration letter. They will be able to answer your payment questions. Here is a recommendation for Help to Claim-- www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/kunena/10-dla-...aged-migration-to-uc
