PIP - Photographic Evidence to support Claim

PIP Evidence

Hi All,

I have listed several items within my PIP application that I use as aids to assist me in activities such as dressing and undressing, preparing a cooked meal, washing and bathing etc. I have described in each section of the questionnaire how I use each of these aids and how they assist me within these activates.

Is it likely the Health Professional or DWP advisors assessing my claim is likely to accept my word that I have and use these aids?
I don’t have much evidence to send in to support my claim other than my medical history which lists my ailments, recent GP visits and the medication I am taking.

Would you think it would be a good idea to photograph my aids within my home environment and send them in as evidence to show I do have these aids to hand? For examples a photo of my perch chair in the corner of my kitchen? A photo of my vegetable chopper on my kitchen worktop? A photo of my over bath seat, in position over my bath that I sit on while showering? A photo of my grab rail and raised toilet seat in position that I use while using my toilet? Etc,

If anyone could give their opinion on wether or not these photos this please?

Many thanks

rhj

Hi rhj

Some people send in photographs, but the majority of people don't. The assessors will take your word that you use those aids. It's your choice, but it certainly isn't necessary.
