My Daughter, is expecting a phone call tomorrow after completing her work capability form, she is very anxious and doesnt know what to expect, she is on PIP for learning Disability and has been off work due to bullying and anxiety for 6 months now and is not intending to return to work on doctors advice. any advice or tips about what to expect from the phone call would be appreciated.
I hope that she has asked for the assessment to be recorded. We always advise people to make their own covert recording. I hope she has support with her on the call.
Have a look at the guide: ESA and UC Claims for Physical, Mental Health and Learning Difficulties: a guide to the work capability assessment. benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/esa. There are a list of the sort of questions she will be asked on page 127 onwards - (ignore the questions about travelling to a venue ), but the others will be same.
Make sure she has a copy of what she said on the form.
I hope the assessment goes well for her.
