Getting reminder texts to claim UC and last text says to get phone call from UC

Hello,

I have been getting reminder text messages to migrate to UC, and the last one is to tell me UC will call me in the next few days.

I assume it is to remind me to migrate to UC.

If anyone received any phone calls from UC, have they asked for an extension and were successful at it?
Because I intend to ask them for one when they call me as I need one.
I called them and ask for one about ten days ago but they refused.

I appreciate it.
Many thanks.
Best wishes

Can you explain why you need an extension and why this was refused?

Why was your request for an extension refused? Was this the first time that you asked for an extension?

Hello,

Just an update.

The Migration to UC ( which I am given to understand was a team in the Universal Credit) called me and asked me if I needed help.
I said I had previously asked them for an extension which was refused.
The adviser gave me a 4 weeks extension added to the deadline on my migration notice and said I would get confirmation of that extension in the post.

I am checking the post, and if I do not get the letter close to the new given deadline I will call UC to tell them I was given an extension as I do not want to take the risks of my benefits being stopped.

Best wishes
