UC50 Changes to Questionnaire & Automatic Qualification to LWRCA group-Cancer?

Dear All,

I notice their are changes to the UC50 form questionnaire from the previous one that will impact those undergoing cancer treatment.

In addition I also have read that the following from Gov.uk that you may need a WCA (or one sooner)if the following applies:-

-"receiving or are about to receive treatment for cancer by way of chemotherapy or radiotherapy – or you are recovering from such treatment"

I was wondering if this means that those undergoing specific cancer treatment that were previously eligible for automatic admission into the LWCRA group are no longer automatically eligible?

I am not able to find anything on your website about this and wondered what this would mean for those undergoing cancer treatment that are disproportionately affected by this change.

Would you please give further advice or insight about this please?

Yes there are changes to the UC50 questionnaire surrounding cancer specifically.

I have not found anything on your website either so I have contacted you directly.

Can B&W back office look into this and update in a news later or guides as to how these changes may impact those with cancer and automatic eligibility to the LWRCA group please.?

It appears that these changes have caught many unaware.
